Rolling Stones 1965 Brian Jones Era Authentic Immaculate Full Set Of Autographs
Beautiful full set of vintage Rolling Stones signatures circa 1965 including founding member of the band Brian Jones, Mick Jagger who added and humorously amended X (circled) NOT, CROSS OUT, Keith Richard, Bill Wyman and Charlie Watts who added The Rolling Stones Love Charlie Boy. The autographs are signed on five large separate autograph book pages which 5 X 3, the pages were professionally removed from the book and are in immaculate condition. Read below in the letter of provenance the humorous story to why Mick Jagger wrote what he wrote after his signature! Comes with a letter of provenance which reads. My brother Paul Scudamore obtained The Rolling Stones autographs when he was a young freelance pop journalist writing under the pseudonym of Mike Adams. He was also a Junior reporter on the Lianelli Star weekly newspaper which meant he had a Press Card which gave him access to the backstage of many theatre concerts. He interviewed The Rolling Stones on the 28th September 1965 at the Capital Theatre in Cardiff and had his article published in the Record Mirror shortly afterwards (see attached article). Paul got two sets of autographs and gave one to me. Paul explained the reason Mick Jagger added X – NOT. CROSS OUT below his signature was because he assumed it was for a girl!! It was when Paul said that the autograph was for his brother that he wrote NOT meaning it was no longer a kiss and then to reaffirm his meaning he wrote CROSS OUT. This must be a unique feature. On Charlie Watts autograph he has also written The Rolling Stones. Comes with a photo copy of the Record Mirror article Mike wrote on the Rolling Stones (see scan number 7). As you can see this is a brilliant set of original Rolling Stones signatures, a perfect set for framing or for the collector who collects cut signatures. Theres a bit of ultra light wear and toning, nothing serious whatsoever, scan number 8 is how the pages look, theyre beige like in color. These signatures are pre. Certified and will come with a certificate of authenticity from a most reputable authenticator.
