The cover and one inner page from a Rolling Stones 1982 European tour programme signed by The Rolling Stones and backing band members. The front cover of the programme has been signed by Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, Ronnie Wood, Bill Wyman and Charlie Watts. Keith has written’Many Thanks’ above his autograph. The inner page has been autographed by the following tour band members: Ian Stewart, pianist and original member of the rolling Stones when they formed. Chuck Leavell, backing vocals and keyboards. Gene Barge, saxophonist and Bobby Keys, saxophonist. Provenance: the signatures were obtained by the tour’s promoter Harvey Goldsmith when the Stones performed at Festhalle, Frankfurt, Germany on 30. June 1982 for a police officer named Superintendent Whittle who had assisted the Rolling Stones when they performed at Ashton Gate Stadium, Bristol, England on 27. Accompanied by two letters of provenance which are detailed below. A letter on Harvey Goldsmith Entertainments Limited letterhead paper dated 1. July 1982 that reads:’At great expense to management, Harvey flew to Frankfurt last night and spent an hour obtaining autographs – the Rolling Stones themselves on the cover and the rest of the musicians inside. Unfortunately, being a recording group. They did not have such a thing as a record with them! Thanks for all your help in Bristol. Yours sincerely, Carole Davis’. The second letter is from the previous owner, it reads:’Thank you for purchasing my signed program of the Rolling Stones concert. As stated in the letter on the rear of the program frame a representative of Harvey Goldsmith Entertainments flew to Frankfurt to obtain the Stones signatures, the letter was given to me at the time l bought it as proof of authenticity. I would think a letter from the producers of the Stones concert and the involvement of the Avon and Somerset Police would prove authenticity. The frame measures 80cm x 45cm (31.5 inches x 17.7 inches). There are a few very small marks around the edge of the frame. The colours of the programme cover have faded, however the signatures are still very clear. The condition is very good plus. The Harvey Goldstein letter has tape stains around the edges, foxing all across the surface and has been previously folded leaving crease lines. The condition is very good. Offered here is an original 1964 concert programme from The Ronettes & The Rolling Stones show at the Harrow Granada, featuring an all-star bill including The Cheynes, Dave Berry & The Cruisers, The Swinging Blue Jeans, Marty Wilde & The Wildcats, and compère Al Paige. This historic event was at the dawn of The Rolling Stones’ rise to fame – Mick Jagger was still just 19 and in his second year at the London School of Economics. The programme captures this moment before the Stones’ global breakthrough, with bios and photos of each early band member. Adding to its rarity, this copy was personally signed by Ronnie Spector, dedicated. My father, who met her years later and had it autographed after a live performance. Sadly, he passed away just one month before Ronnie herself did in 2022. This original tour programme from the Rolling Stones UK tour which ran from September to October in 1964, is an original bought in late September and hand signed multiple times on the night. Never changed hands for all these decades. Incredible original item from the early days. Signed on the correct pages for each artist. All biro ink signed in’64, clear with no fading. You can still see some jittery-ness as most were signed standing with nothing to lean on. Each individual Stones page is autographed; Keith Richards (then signing his surname Richard), Mick Jagger, Bill Wyman, Brian Jones and Charlie Watts. Also includes the signatures of Mike Berry, Simon Scott, Inez & Charlie Foxx and Nicky Crouch, Keith Carlson, Stuart James, Terry O’Toole and John Conrad of The Mojos. The programme clearly shows its age, including tears and wear, creases, and some water damage as photographed which is slightly unfortunate but it’s seemingly still all there and the colours on the cover are still lovely and vivid, plus the main thing being the signatures are all fine and dandy. It’s very old so I feel the condition gets a pass! Absolutely incredible piece of early Stones, and early British Invasion era memorabilia so the most diehard fans.

An original concert programme for the Rolling Stones 1982 European tour which has been signed by the group in black ballpoint pen on their respective images inside the programme. Mick Jagger has added xx below his name, Keith Richards has added Best Wishes above his name, Bill Wyman has added Love above his name, Ronnie Wood has added To Rod, all the best above his name. The front of the programme has also been signed by Billy Connolly. The programme is accompanied by a letter from the recipient which reads: In the Summer of 1982, The Rolling Stones were on Tour in Europe. June that year, The Stones appeared at Wembley Stadium as part of their Tour. I was fortunate enough to be assigned to the Stadium as a tour of duty, as supervisor to a serial responsible for safety of the performers and general conduct of the spectators in relation to alcohol consumption and disorder. I visited their trailer backstage, prior to their appearance on stage, to check on their well bing and was greeted in a friendly manner. I was in possession of the 1982 European Tour programme and being in the privileged position of meeting them, took the liberty of asking whether they would be kind enough to autograph the programme. They were all most obliging and individually signed across their own photos in the programme. Billy Connolly appeared at their trailer and began chatting with Mick Jagger. I took the chance of asking Billy if he would also sign the programme which he very kindly did on the front cover. That was on of the highlights of my career. The programme measures 30.5cm x 30.5cm (12 inches x 12 inches). There is some creasing to the front and back cover. The condition is very good. The first item is charged at the normal rate.
