The Rolling Stones – Signed Vintage Vinyl – England’s Newest Hit Makers – Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, Charlie Watts. Overall for age, item remains pretty nice minus the imperfections as shown in the photographs I have added. Some edge creases on the back that are a bit lifted, some tearing along the albums edge wear. There is some patina due to age which all old records show on the cover and throughout. The inscription says To America, Thank You, (His typical Charlie Boy signature) and the Year, 21. Here’s what I have and acquired the Signature. Photos of his room full of Rolling Stones memorabilia. In conversation with him, he said he took many trips to London and bought collectibles from Stones collectors there. That said, when I received the pennant, this autographed photo was included inside. At that point in time, Charlie was still alive and well. So that’s my provenance of this autograph. What I can tell you is, the signature is writing with an ink that “shines” on the B/W glossy photo. You can compare the alphabetic letter’s in the Note to the alphabetic letter’s in the “America” signature and see they are exact. And as I said, when the photo is held at an angle to light, the ink shines on the paper (SEE PHOTO #5). Very nice Charlie Watts autograph and collectible. Please ask if any questions. A very rare opportunity to own a matt finish 10×8 inches photo hand signed by the late drummer Charlie Watts. Charlie Watts was the drummer of the Rolling Stones from 1963 until his death in 2021. In mid-1962, Watts first met Brian Jones, Ian “Stu” Stewart, Mick Jagger and Keith Richards, who also frequented the London rhythm and blues clubs, but it was not until January 1963 that Watts finally agreed to join the Rolling Stones. Initially, the band could not afford to pay Watts, who had been earning a regular salary from his gigs. His first public appearance as a permanent member was at the Ealing Jazz Club on 2 February 1963. Watts was often introduced as “The Wembley Whammer” by Jagger during live concerts. In 1989, Watts was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame with the Rolling Stones, and in 2004, he was inducted into the UK Music Hall of Fame, also with the Rolling Stones. He is often regarded as one of the greatest drummers of all time! Great piece signed by the legendary drummer from one of the greatest rock n roll bands of all time!
