A sheet of amplifier instructions that was used by a member of the group The Fugitives when they supported the Rolling Stones at Sacramento Memorial Auditorium, Sacramento, California, USA on 22nd May 1965. The sheet has been autographed by the Rolling Stones in black felt tipped pen. It comes with a letter from the ex-wife of the original recipient that reads: This complete set of autographs of the Rolling Stones was obtained when they performed at the Sacramento Memorial Auditorium on May 22, 1965. My ex-husband, Jim Phillips, who was my boyfriend at the time, was a vocalist and played saxophone in a local band that opened for the Stones, The Fugitives. He obtained the autographs while backstage, on the only piece of paper that was handy, a diagram of The Fugitives equipment set-up. I know they are authentic because I was there. The bands manager, Dick LeVenton, gave me 10 tickets at no charge, for myself and my high school girl friends, on the condition that we scream when the Fugitives came on and while they performed, which of course we did. Ive enclosed documentation supporting the authenticity of the signatures. The first is a poor quality reproduction of a photograph of the Fugitives that appeared in a publication called The Local Groove, dated April To May 1965. Jim Phillips is pictured second to left, with his signature written across the lower portion of his picture. Beneath the photo, the caption reads, they are one of two Sacramento Bands chosen to appear with the ROLLING STONES on May 22nd.. Also enclosed is a copy of the Wikipedia entry on the band which says that, The Fugitives opened for many famous acts, including The Rolling Stones Jim Phillips is listed under Past Members in the Background information on the right.. The sheet measures 27.6cm x 21.45cm (10.9 Inches x 8.45 inches). The sheet has been folded and laid flat. The condition is very good plus. The first item is charged at the normal rate.
