An Associated Musicians of New York contract for a series of October, 1962 shows by jazz great Stan Getz at New York’s Village Gate, hand signed by the legendary saxophonist. Just six months earlier, Getz had released his hit album with guitarist Charlie Byrd. Jazz Samba signaled the beginning of the bossa nova craze in America. Stan Getz was the featured soloist and the tracks were arranged by Charlie Byrd, who had first heard bossa nova during a tour of Brazil in 1961. Charlie Watts: Gentleman, Collector, Rolling Stone. Gerald Scarfe Caricature of the Rolling Stones. Commissioned for their 1994 VooDoo lounge tour. In 1994 the New Yorker Magazine sent Gerald Scarfe to Wembley Stadium for the Rolling Stones Voodoo Lounge Tour and make a drawing for the magazine. When Mick Jagger saw it he asked for it to become a Stones T-shirt. Print size: 48cm x 32cm. Printed on high quality archival matte paper. Hand signed by Gerald Scarfe. Limited edition of 100. Gerald Scarfe is the genius artist behind Pink Floyd “The Wall”. Gerald has been the political cartoonist for the London Sunday Times for 44 years, and has also worked for The New Yorker magazine for 21 years. His work regularly appears in many periodicals in the UK and worldwide. He was made a CBE in the Queen’s Birthday Honours, 2008. He doesn’t understand where his drive for this work comes from, or even his artistic side. His father was a banker and his mother a schoolteacher. An asthmatic child, he was born during the war and spent years bedridden in hospital where he drew cartoons and made Plasticine models. As a teenager, he won a drawing competition in the Eagle comic. David Hockney was a runner-up. “I hope that in general I’m fairly cheerful but there is undoubtedly a black side to me as there is with most people I suppose”.

This is a Consignment item. So common sense should tell you that I did not meet Mick Jagger and I did not get him to sign this photo!!!! Look at what I sell and you will see I have very very few original signed items up for sale….. 3 the photo is stamped twice on the back with the exact date. 4 original concert poster is included and it is approximately 11 x 17 inches, it is rolled and will be mailed in a separate tube. 5 for the reading impaired re-read #1. 6 Size of the photo is 08 x 10 inches glossy photo. 7 Certificate of Authenticity has been provided by the Mobile Authentication Network and is available for look up. COA# 004044 use a desktop computer to look up the number seems work a bit more fluidly. This is a legitimate real authentication company that was able to authenticate the autograph and get the photo back to us in a timely manor…. Poster will be mailed in a tube probably ground. 9 Photo will be laid flat in a protective sleeve and between heavy cardboard.
