Note we do not use stock images, the book pictured is the book described. Originally published in 1952 The Rolling Stones was Heinlein’s first venture in to juvenile fiction, attempting a lighter more humourous note to his writing. It was issued in the UK in 1969 as Space Family Stones by Gollancz. This particular copy is a later Scribners reissue in a revised jacket, and thus not a new edition. Due to this, finding publishing information on this printing is very difficult, however on the basis that it has a SBN and a number line it would have been published post 1970, but before 1978. On it’s own this is a very uncommon issue with only a couple of examples with this jacket being previously recorded, and none found signed. The book format is the same as the initial printings with the B&W illustrations by Clifford Geary. This copy is signed in blue biro by Heinlein to the title page. A scarce printing of this classic title, signed by Heinlein, makes this volume a highlight for any collection.
