The Works by Ron (Ronnie) Wood with Bill German Signed (+ a small drawing) on the half-title page not only by Ronnie Wood, but also by Bill Wyman, next to which Wood has added an arrow with the humorous comment what again? (the writing has stained the inside of the front cover opposite & also gone through somewhat to the Dedication page overleaf); Fontana Paperbacks 1987 1st ed, 122pp. Wonderfully illustrated text (by Ronnie Wood) in acceptable condition with slight browning to page edges & creasing to the bottom corners of the pages, some browning to the inside of both covers, edge wear to covers/corners/top & bottom of the spine with a small tear & noticeable creasing to the top right hand edge of the rear cover & to the top edge of the preceding 10 pages (obviously including the inside of the rear cover), slight creasing to the corners, bumping to spine edges on front & rear, rear cover is heavily marked & scratched, the spine is slightly marked, the front has a significant line of indentations/bumps stretching from the left hand edge to just short of the right hand one, along with many marks & scratches elsewhere. The Works, illustrated by Ronnie Wood’s own paintings & drawings, is compulsive reading for anyone who has ever loved rock and roll, blues or soul. Wood is an infectious enthusiast & personalities & faces come alive in these pages – from Jagger to Bowie, Keith Richards to Tina Turner, John Belushi to Andy Warhol, and many others.
